Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival call for entries are now open until March 16, 2012







The Inaugural Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival (GCUFF) call for entries are now open in all categories which include shorts, narratives, student and collegiate work and documentaries. Deadline for submission is March 16, 2012. 


Filmmakers are expected to provide most of the following: 


(a) Exhibition Format: The festival screens/exhibits work only in the following formats; DVD or Blue Ray
(b) Full press kit including film stills and director photo (slides, hard copies, or digital files of minimum 300 dpi on disk or emailed); synopsis; full production credits; and director biography. Additional collateral material including postcards, posters, etc. may be included if available 
(c) Clips or trailer to be used for press, promotion, and awards ceremony. 


Filmmakers selected will be notified no later than March 23, 2012.

GCUFF was created to showcase quality films that promotes awareness, appreciation and merit in the diversity of the African-American community and to celebrate local filmmakers, filmgoers and artists that have achieved national recognition in the world of cinema.


The Greater Cleveland  Urban  Film Festival programming objective is to educate, entertain and highlight the African-American experience via independent films, documentaries and creative expression that represent the African-American journey and to encourage minority students to consider a career in the film industry.
