A list in Cuyahoga County was released that totaled $7 million in unclaimed funds on its website.
Recently, new procedures were set forth for the public to have the ablity to claim millions of dollars in unapplied funds that have remained on deposit in the Cuyahoga County Clerk of Courts office.
The County Clerk of Courts office determine the final amount of unapplied funds on deposit after combing through decades of paper and electronic records.
"FitzGerald also announced Monday that the County Clerk of Courts office will now be required to post a list of unapplied funds on deposit each January for public review. Any funds posted online will be transferred to the County Treasury after 31 days." as stated from newnet5.com.
